Inspiring projects that offer Primary Water solutions for future generations
Primary water pressures up from the Earth's mantle through geologic fissures, and exceeds five times the amount of water in all the world’s oceans. It is constantly regenerating itself for a limitless supply of clean water.
Castellemmare Hill in Pacific Palisades located above the intersection of Sunset Blvd and Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) has a water issue. A great abundance of water, to be exact.
With the lack of water infrastructure planning in the development of this neighborhood, the large watershed underneath the homes is pushing the front hillside onto PCH. It is also seeping out of the concrete bulkhead that is supporting one of two access roads to this neighborhood, and is compromising it greatly.
And now after the Palisades fire of January 7, 2025, the homes and foliage supporting the front of the hill is now gone, making this a dire circumstance that needs immediate attention from local government, and DWP (Dept of Water and Power).
This project proposes that homeowners have the right to drill water mitigation and usage wells on their property to release the pressure of the watershed.
